Review: Fabulous piece of support engineering for a tandem, giving the stoker a view up front. - Riding for 4000 km round France this spring on our tandem, we fitted this camera the "wrong" way round, to give my partner on the back (the "stoker" in English) a view of the road ahead that wasn't just obscured by my back as the "captain" blocking her view in the front. So, the camera on our tandem is mounted facing forward, not back, on the handlebars at the front, and the screen is on the stoker handlebars just under the front seat. See pictures. Even if there isn't all that much detail on such a small screen, and the viewer on the back has to get used to the idea that the image is mirrored, left being right, and the right side of the view ahead being on the left, it worked brilliantly. The brain, interestingly, does adjust. The battery life was good, though keeping the screen plugged into a powerbank is NOT a good idea as you're riding, since with us this ended up breaking the screen's charger port. For the back end of our six-week trip the device couldn't be used. However, the reason I'm happy to give this item a full five-star review reflects its basic design, its light weight, its long life, its simplicity of mounting, and the superb customer service of Parkvision who replaced the defective screen not just with one item but three! Meaning that if the charging port goes south again, we can have a backup. It does seem that this item can be bought a little more cheaply from other sellers in China. But if you're looking for excellent support and a team that clearly cares how customers experience them and their procucts, then it's probably worth the extra expense.

I needed a new bracket for the camera and the Parkview team could not have been more helpful, courteous and speedy with the assistance they gave. 5 STAR customer service!!! This product is a must for safety! It gives superb vision for vehicles approaching from behind. Very sharp colour pictures and easy to install. I have already recommended it to colleagues who also cycle to work in London. The safety factor is also about seeing potential muggers approaching from behind which led me to buy this in the first place. I couple of guys wearing balaclavas came from behind on an electric bike to mug me of my Brompton. There was no way of seeing them first. This camera allows me to glance and look behind easily. FYI thanks to a brave passer by, the muggers were unsuccessful!

**Q: Been on charge 6 hrs. showing 3 bar,is that okay?**
A: Hi! It is best to use a 2A 5V charger. When the screen turns off to charge, the screen is blue, a battery cursor will move from left to right in the upper right corner of the display, indicating that it is charging. A power bar represents 25% of the battery and it's 4 bars after it's full. **Q: Is it adjustable? I want to put it the end of stubby bar ends, so I still have another hand position.**
A: It's adjustable, around a universal joint. As you can see from the picture, you can adjust the angle at any time to get the clearest, widest view of the traffic behind you.

**Q: Is there a charging light to show the camera is on charge and when fully charged. I can't see on on mine although it appears to accept charge**
A: Hi! When the BK-430 bicycle camera with display set product is charging, a battery mark will appear on the upper right corner of the display screen and it move from left to right. When fully charged, the battery mark in the upper right corner of the display screen will stop and display 4 levels of power. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well

I've been using this for a few weeks now. Overall its a great piece of kit to use as a rear-view mirror on my bicycle. Installation is simple, very much plug-and-play. Cable tie the cables to the frame, the camera clamps easily and is very adjustable. The screen clamp is next to useless though, I replaced that for something a bit sturdier as the weight of the screen was too much for the original, In my case I tried my best to tighten it as much as possible but ended up stripping the thread, plus the knob is small and fiddly. Battery life is fine, I can easily get 2-3 hours out of it without recharging, my rides are seldom any longer. There is no infrared though, the camera relies on ambient lighting to show you what's going on, so far I've had no issues with this though, but if you cycle in complete darkness, you will not see much, looks fine with street lamps though. Sunshine is an issue, you will need to angle it out of bright sunshine to see the screen, not a lot you can do about that. Overall I would rate this as a good purchse, saves having to look aver your shoulder all the time, plus you can charge it on the go on your e-bike.
