It was difficult to make a decision between the 'silver' finish and the 'gold' finish. Both looked very good, I eventually settled on the 'gold' finish. The item arrived very quickly thanks to Amazon and the packaging was fine. The overall finish of the watch is very good the brass is buffed to a gleaming finish, the strap looks substantial and the watch face sets off the oldie-worldly look very well. As told, the strap will need some breraking-in, and today (first full day of wearing) it is softening down very well. It is not at all a slim watch, but for me that is not a problem. There is a definite 'classy' look to the watch which belies its price. It is comfortable to wear. Only one very small thing which I feel guilty in mentioning, is the case. I would have been quite happy to have paid a couple of pounds more to have proper case to store it in as opposed to the flimsy cardboard one provided, but for me that hasn't detracted from the presentation of the watch. Time will tell (pardon the pun) if it keeps going well, and I'm sure it will. I am very happy with the watch, the delivery and the price.It is now some weeks since purchasing and wearing the watch. My earlier thoughts regarding the watch have proved to be accurate. I am completely satisfied with it. The watchstrap, although very stiff at first, is now comfortable to wear. It has proved to be accurate. I am completely happy with it. I had to contact the supplier by Amazon email to clarify a small point and found that it was remarkably easy and satisfying to deal with them.
