Tools are all pretty uni-sex. **Q: Will this press work on Avid Elixir 3 brakes?** A: Exactly my problem. I took the old pads out, squeezed the brake lever to push the pistons even further out then used the tool to push them in flush. As long as you protect the pistons and the disc with some card or cloth you will be fine with a big screw driver. Sometimes you have to work it in and out to get it all the way back. The tool is roughly the right profile and provides useful leverage. The Avid Trails X0 have two pistons in each calliper so the tool is actually a bit big as it is hard to see exactly where you are applying pressure and a big screw driver may have been easier. If yours has only one piston then this may actually be better for you.
