Previous meters have given up the ghost, so bought two of these. Obviously, at this price you will not get accurate reading like a NASA laboratory. Having said that, these two , side by side hardly differ and are giving readings that I know are pretty accurate - as accurate as the average householder will need. Very easy to set up. I think there were instructions, but you won't need them. I will probably get another couple, before the last of my old specimens die on me. So the only question is regarding longevity. Time will tell, but at this price, not too bothered.. Overall, excellent value. Robust casing and clear display. Well recommended. Update June 2022.. Just bought number five as one fell down the back of a really heavy piece of furniture and will have to stay there :( Great little things. Review: Great little meter, has worked fine for over a year. - This thermometer/hygrometer has now been sat on a shelf in my room for over a year. I look at it semi-regularly (especially when I feel slightly uncomfortable) and it has given me no reason to doubt its accuracy. I've not even needed to change the battery, which gives it full marks in reliability. The temperature display has 0.1 degree increments, and the humidity display 1% increments. This is more than adequate for any purpose I could think to use it for. The biggest niggle I have is that the arrow showing comfort levels points directly at one of the coloured bars. Green (top) is where it should be; yellow and red are too dry, cyan and blue are too wet. However it goes from being "perfect" to "too wet" with a single %age change rather than gradually, so it's hard to see the tendency at a glance (and it's not shown on the display). You therefore are forced to keep an eye on the actual number. Also, the "comfort" rating seems to be solely reliant on the humidity. 40-59% is comfortable, anything else is uncomfortable (and each of the bars is a 10% increment in humidity). It makes no distinction to the actual fact that the level of human discomfort is a factor of both temperature and humidity. That said, I'm at a risk of being too pedantic. The function of the meter is perfectly adequate, and the best indication of my comfort level is how I'm feeling anyway, regardless of what a meter tells me :-). In terms of quality and reliability, I have no issues at all. The digital numbers show the current temp and humidity by default. If you press the bottom right hand side Min/Max button the digital figures show the Max Temp and humidity reached. Press it again and the Minimum Temp and Humidity are shown. Press again and you return to the current figures or leave and within a few seconds it returns to current Temp/Hum. If during this process you also press the 'Clear' button in the top bottom right hand side it will clear the Max or Min figures or both. The third button is for C or F. Hope this helps. **Q: Does this product come pre-calibrated?** A: Yes .There is no provision for calibrating. At this price you are getting an indication rather than a truly accurateinstrument . **Q: I have bought this item, However I have doubts on accuracy of reading. Does anyone has checked it's accuracy?** A: Hi i have cross referneced against a digital Hydometer dual temperature probe (Testo 625 )The Therma Hydrometer reads approx 3 degree low on temp and 4% high on humidity.I didn't buy this as a precision instrument but purly to providr at a glance Reletive Humidity levels. **Q: This item was not delivered.** A: No but you easily find one for a fridge or freezer. It therefore is deserving of the full five stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good hygrometer, with nice large visual display *by B***L on 26 February 2018* I am no expert on these devices, however, I am pleased with it because of its visual simplicity. It has a nice big readout and colour coded dial, therefore you can easily see the level of humidity from high which is dark blue on the right to low at the other extreme, red. Also the accuracy is good because it always matches the humidity level which shows on my dehumidifier, and the battery seems to last ages, I have had it switched on now for a couple of months and the display is still crystal clear, so should go for ages without changing battery.
