Don't use a laser printer **Q: I want to transfer an image of a figure on to an acrylic painting - does anyone know if this will work please?** A: If your acrylic painting has any depth of texture in the paint, I don't rate your chances - sorry. If the figure has no half-tone screens, the way that I would do it would be to trace the figure in pencil, then cover the back of it with penciling, using a B grade or other black pencil. Then I would attach my tracing to the painting, in the desired position, using low tack masking tape and draw over your original pencil tracing with medium thickness coloured biro (to check whether you have covered everything), taking particular care over any highs and lows in the paint texture.
