Do NOT immerse the fryer in water. It does work this way and we have had some use from our fryer. All in all, it is not bad but I do think it could have been designed better. The separate handle for the basket can be a little awkward. **Q: How do i affix the handle to the basket** A: I gave up, as it was more dangerous falling off with hot food in it when I tried to turn food out. the handle fits into the mesh if you squeeze the end and let it spring open . the trouble is when you turn the basket over it folds up dropping hot fat and food over your hand. I use tongs to lift it out or use it without the basket lifting food with a slotted spoon. Not happy with this product and its safety. **Q: Does this require filters?** A: it has a small carbon fibre filter in the lid ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mini chip pan *by A***R on 23 September 2026* I am well impressed with this little fryer just enough and better than oven chips I’m glad I bought it now ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little fryer *by A***W on 11 May 2026* Very good deep fat fryer. Small in size but big in performance. Nice design and it cooks great chips. Love it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The fryer is really handy. Small but the basket ... *by E***I on 16 April 2017* The fryer is really handy. Small but the basket is big enough for one big portion, plus is so quick that you can make two one after another really quickly. The oil heats in just a couple of mins, and the final result is a really light fry. The handle is made to put in and out the frying basket, so you should remove it to avoid overheating and the lowering of the oil temperature (the lid won't close if you leave the handle!) The only downside is that some condensation builds up under the lid, so you must be careful when you open it as some drops might fall into the heated oil and it could be dangerous. ## Frequently Bought Together - Quest 35150 1L Deep Fat Fryer - Non-Stick Basket With Removable Handle, 900 Watt, Easy Clean - Compact Design - White - 23 cm - Deep-fat Fixer --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/48636376-1l-mini-deep-fat-fryer-900w-compact-electric-fryer](https://www.desertcart.us/products/48636376-1l-mini-deep-fat-fryer-900w-compact-electric-fryer) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
