The HSGM is a ROPE CUTTER and is designed for intermittent operation of no more than 12 seconds and then it must be left to cool down for at least 48 seconds. **Q: how long is the warranty** A: You always get a year anyway cannot remember how long it gave think it was 2 years **Q: How long can I use it for or does it need regular breaks?** A: The operating instructions advise pressing the trigger for short bursts of five to ten seconds or so and then release for a few seconds... really brilliant bit of kit.. buy it.. **Q: Can you tell me ehat thickness of tope it can cut? Will it cit 24mm poly hemp rope?** A: It will cut any thickness you like as long as you adhere to the instructions and only use it in short bursts (12s on, cool for 48s then another 12s burst and so on).
