Firstly, the price of vitafibre is extremely low and you get outstanding quality for the price. When you open the pouch, there is no chemical smell (a smell you sometimes find with supplements). It is water-soluble and tastes like sweetener. As a result, i frequently put this in my protein shakes to add sweetness and fibre content to them. I am rating this 5* because it is a supplement i have used for years and will continue to use. I feel as if this product needed an additional review just so people can see how awesome this product is. If you are looking to add sweetness to your shakes, with the added benefit of additional fibre in your diet, then buy this product. It isn't 'bitty' and fully dissolves in water or milk.

There is a sweet taste but definitely not unpleasant and I will probably use it mostly as a replacement for sugar in hot drinks, although it can also be used in baking as a replacement gram for gram with flour. I found that it filled me up a lot more than I expected. With 91g of fibre per 100g that is a huge amount to be taking in if you’re not careful with how much you use. Product is suitable for both vegans and people with a gluten intolerance, although the packaging says that the factory where it was produced does use those ingredients which is unfortunately a problem for some people in my family.

The powder comes in a large resealable bag and includes a small plastic measuring scoop which is for a portion of 16g. The powder itself was surprisingly fine and dissolved into both hot and cold water very easily with no graininess or residue. There is a sweet taste but definitely not unpleasant and I will probably use it mostly as a replacement for sugar in hot drinks, although it can also be used in baking as a replacement gram for gram with flour.
