When the temperature in the pond gets to about 12 c then I normally move onto a summer food. I am not a professional fish keeper but have had a koi pond for over 35 years. It is a good winter product as it helps stave off any parasites until the water is warm enough to treat and you can feed your fish on this product in very low temperatures (if they want it). Hope this helps **Q: Is it floating or sinking feed?** A: Its tiny round balls if floating food.
