Review: Amazing scratcher - I had brought this for my 2 kittens and they have enjoyed both scratching their claws and also using it as a bed, they have brilliant sleep on the scratcher! the structure is sturdy and it is made form exceptional strength cardboard. The product is a perfect size for both cats and kittens and is definitely value for money. The product is lightweight but remains on the floor as the cats are scratching. I haven’t tried but I guess you could balance the scratcher against the all to offer additional functionality. Using this has meant my furniture has been protected. I believe that using this scratcher has improved my cats health due to their increase in activities levels.

The cardboard serrations seem to be the perfect width for kitty to scratch deep without harming her claws. The cardboard 'bits' that break away adhere well to the board, so you don't constantly have a trail of it around the house; we tap them out and hoover up when doing the rest of the house. As mentioned, we've had this a good few weeks now and it's still in daily use, you can see it's been well loved but there's plenty left, I could easily see us only needing two, maybe three a year. It's also a good width for even a large cat to lay on (if, like our furry feline leader your cat likes to lay anywhere that's not the bed you loving chose and purchased for them). Can't recommend it enough, we've tried many over the years but always go back to this one as it's a complete bargain.

**Q: what was the powder used for?  (provided in the package)**
A: The problem is that it falls straight through onto the carpet beneath. There is no instructions about how much to use so I tipped it all on - mistake! I thi k a pinch at a time would probably save having to sweep it off the carpet. It is a pity it doesn't have a backing to prevent this.
