I would happily pay double for better quality and deducted two stars for the disappointing weld between the cup and the base portions. It leaves three rough blemishes on the bowl surface. Time will tell if it holds up to use. ### ⭐⭐ Lovely design but poor manufacturing quality *by L***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 September 2018* I was quite disappointed with this product. The design is stylish and I liked that it has the little plinth base which should make easier to grip when creating a lather, which was why I chose it. However, on opening up the packaging I found there were very noticeable chips in the stainless steel on the outside of the bowl which has already caused rust! There is also a separate significant dent in the bowl causing an unsightly area of black corrosion, as can be seen from the photographs. Further, there are four pock marks at the bottom of the bowl (pictured) which I assume are from welding the two components together but it looks unsightly and poorly made on such an expensive bowl.I think the terrible manufacturing quality is a real shame as I liked the design and was excited to have this bowl as I'm getting into wet shaving. I will be returning this product and will avoid the Jagen David brand in the future - for me 'quality' is about more than just brand names - it has to be backed up by actual tangible manufacturing quality of a companies products.
