Review: Absolutely fandustic! - This is without a doubt the best vacuum I ever bought. Also the most expensive I ever bought and am extremely happy with it. This packs a lot of technology into a compact and very flexible unit. Flexible in many ways; it contorts into any shape you need, you can have full length right down to just the head with a brush clicked in. All my previous "about £70" vacuums were all mains powered and I thought they should give the best results, seeing as they have high wattage noisy motors. Shark uses tech in place of brute force. The suction is very good considering it's battery powered, but combined with the unique roller system it pulled more dirt out of my carpet in 20 minutes than my mains powered one has done in its lifetime. I was astonished to see the dust compartment completely full! It arrived in a tall well compartmentalized box, everything firmly in place. A few clicks and everything was put together - I didn't need to read the manual as it's so easy. The battery comes 1/3 charged. It has 3 blue LEDs to show the charge. You can charge it taken out of the vacuum or left in. Charging takes about 3.5 hours, which is quicker than my rechargeable AA batteries take. The label on the battery states "2450mAh, 25.2V". It's punchy. This is a very well made piece of kit. There's nothing flimsy or cheap about it. It's just a vacuum, but I feel genuinely pleased to own it. The 20 minute battery life nearly put me off because I spend far more time vacuuming with my mains powered one, but that's because it was rubbish! I had to use sticky tape for the bits my previous vacuum couldn't budge. In contrast this Shark left nothing in it's wake. The roller system is brilliant. It's so effective it ate my flimsy rug by the backdoor, even on the gentle and short carpet setting. I switched to the smaller "animal" head and job done - the rug looks flipping brand new! Typically it's hard to get excited by vacuum cleaners at Christmas. But my lounge looks spotless and it only took 20 minutes. It actually took less, but the instructions say run the battery flat on the 1st use so I did the kitchen and stairs as well. As soon as the battery ran out I tried to recharge it and it showed 2 flashing blue LEDs. Eek! It's normal - the manual states the battery charges optimally when the battery has cooled down. It wasn't hot by any means, but charging resumed when the battery was at room temperature. The Shark won't stand upright because the battery goes in the top, making it top heavy. A press of a button and it folds in half and does stand upright, with the vacuum head now down near the rollers, and can be tucked away under the stairs. I pondered what star rating to give the battery life. 5* - I'd rather a powerful battery goes hell-for-leather for 20 minutes than reducing the power just to make it appear to last longer. The power doesn't seem to fade - a constant level of performance, then it just stops. The 3 LEDs on the battery countdown; 3..2..1..flash when flat. I'm guessing 7 minutes per bar. I bought the pink one. It's a mix of rugged plastic and the pink tube is metal. The headlights are actually very effective when cleaning shadowed places like under tables or behind the sofa as they show up dirt you didn't even know was there. They also flash if you've not put it together correctly - nice. Shark takes the chore out of chores. Very happy.
Review: WOW! An amazing machine! - Received my Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner [IF200UKT] Pet Hair, Single Battery, Pink, today and i'm very impressed! Followed all instructions and was excited to try it out as soon as the battery was fully charged, I managed a quick hoover of the whole house before the battery ran out, mainly used the extended runtime option although I did try out the max power setting and it ran for around 30 minutes (so longer than advertised!). I've had a hetty for a few years which is great, but bought this to make it easier to hoover the stairs and bedrooms. I'm now considering getting rid of hetty altogether because the shark is that good. It picked up embedded pet hair from my living room rug with no effort at all, not even on max power! It is really easy to use, comes with loads of tools, and the flexology wand is great for getting under furniture like beds and dining tables. I love the fact that when you charge the battery it automatically turns off once the battery is fully charged, so many batteries don't do this and overheat which leads to really poor performance. It also pauses the charging process if the battery gets too hot and allows it to cool (it got a bit warm when I charged it to full, used it until it ran out and immediately charged it again). The dust cup fills up quite quickly so you need to keep an eye on it but it's simple to empty, only issue I had was with the amount of pet hair it picked up it got stuck in the cup so I had to pull it out. The second time I emptied it the dust just fell out easily. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! The only downside is that it's a little heavy but you can't have everything.

This is without a doubt the best vacuum I ever bought. Also the most expensive I ever bought and am extremely happy with it. This packs a lot of technology into a compact and very flexible unit. Flexible in many ways; it contorts into any shape you need, you can have full length right down to just the head with a brush clicked in. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Hoover However

Starting with the positives - This hoover is light, easily portable and fair play the suction is amazing! We had new caprets a year ago and its been fantastic at keeping them tidy and fresh. Emptying is super easy and i do recomend it for a quick and easy job around the house. However: If you have a pet or woman in the house with long hair it is not for you. The wheel at the base tangles so easily and i spend most of the time with a knife or scissors scraping the wheel as you cant remove it from the base. (since purchasing they have released a new anti hair wrap one) I have had to have a new base unit due to the first one breaking but upon contacting shark they replaced it not questions asked. Fantastic customer service. It asks about stairs on here and ive give it 3 because it doesnt come with a smaller head for stairs so lugging the main base around does not get into areas you need to ( i will be considering this for my next one). Its a fantastic hoover just with a few things they havent considered.
