## Description

Create a colorful outdoor garden with the Gardeners Basics Perennial Flower Seeds for Planting collection. This five-variety set includes Russell strain lupine, blue columbine, purple coneflower echinacea, Black-Eyed Susan and Alaska Shasta daisy in five individually labeled paper seed packets. The seeds are heirloom and non-GMO. Included packet weights: Russell strain lupine, 1 g; blue columbine, 300 mg; purple coneflower echinacea, 800 mg; Black-Eyed Susan, 500 mg; Alaska Shasta daisy, 500 mg. Packet weights make it easy to keep each flower variety separate. Plan beds, borders, cottage gardens and suitable containers with different flower colors, forms and heights. These flowering plants can contribute nectar and pollen to garden spaces planned for bees, butterflies and other pollinators when appropriate for the site. Use the collection for a perennial bed, mixed flower border or cut flower garden. Follow the directions on each packet because planting time, sowing depth, spacing, sunlight, moisture, germination and mature size differ among lupine, columbine, coneflower, Black-Eyed Susan and Shasta daisy. Some perennial flower seeds may benefit from fall planting, winter sowing or cold stratification. Use those methods only when recommended for the specific variety and your local climate. These are flower seeds, not live plants and not one mixed bulk wildflower packet. Keeping the varieties identified helps you place each where its light, soil, drainage and hardiness needs can be met. Perennial growth, bloom timing and winter survival depend on the species, hardiness zone, weather, site and care. Some varieties may focus on root and leaf growth before flowering. Sow outdoors or start seeds in a suitable controlled setup according to the packet. Prepare a clean seedbed, provide consistent moisture without waterlogging and protect young seedlings as needed. Thin or transplant according to the variety instructions. Store unused packets in a cool, dark, dry place.

Review: Mostly germinated - All but the Columbine seeds germinated well. The Black Eyed Susans did exceptionally well, and I should have spaced them apart better. Nothing else bloomed this year, but I think these perennials take two years before blooming. I planted some of these in starter pots indoors, and some right out in the ground. The ones planted directly in a prepared garden bed did MUCH better. I recommend skipping the pot and planting directly in a garden.
Review: My first time planting seeds - This is my first time planting seeds, I planted these probably 7 days ago. And so far the black eye Susan, the Shasta Daisy and the coneflower came out. I didn't really followed all the instructions on the packages. I asked AI for assistance and followed what I was told to do, I took pictures of the seeds and was given guidance base on how they looked. And so far everything looks good.
