My son feels more included when using this chair rather than a highchair and plus not all highchair are clean at restaurants or fast food places. I recently washed it with ease and put it back together with no problem. It felt secure and strong to hold 26lbs. My daughter is 20 months and she is still a messy eater. I usually trap her bib between the tray and highchair so that all the food falls in the bib, but in this booster there was no way to secure her bib. Our table top seemed too high which makes her plate come up to the chest. I did like that her feet were planted on the base of the chair.
