If so what other options would you suggest please** A: No, it is very useful as a starter kit to get you used to using the different chemicals required. We have a 10ft paddling pool. It lasts about 6 to 8 weeks so you will need to order another kit later, or do as we did and just order the chlorine granules and algaecide in larger quantities separately from a supplier. You really don't need to use test strip everyday once your pool is in top clean condition, we test once a week after a couple of weeks of routine chemical treatment.
