It effectively eliminates false alarms caused by environmental factors, ensuring reliable performance in any situation. ## Description A Microwave Detector works by creating an invisible "bubble" which triggers the alarm if entered. Unlike ultrasonic sensors these microwave sensors are not affected by air movement so are ideal for convertibles and can even me used with the roof down while still providing protection for the inside of the car, also good if you want to leave a window ajar for ventilation. This dual stage microwave detector effectively works like two separate sensors. The first "stage" or "zone" is set to be more sensitive and is adjusted to extend outside the vehicle and is usually connected to the "warn off" feature found on many alarms, a separate buzzer or one of our Voice Warning Modules. Very good product. The reason I will only give it three stars is due to the lack of information which comes with the unit! For example should the unit be fitted facing any particular direction, which is the front or rear of the sensor or does it not matter? This is important as the unit creates a bubble around your car, they need to be centrally mounted, therefore it is closer to you passenger door than the front rear of your car.
