A worthwhile investment! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very effective strainer! *by A***S on 19 May 2013* I purchased this item as I was fed up with clearing the blocked shower drain with a plunger and drain cleaner. I live in a household with two ladies, both of whom wash their hair in the shower. The inevitable result is that within a week of regular use the shower tray starts to fill up with water and won't drain away as it is blocked with fine hair which the standard shower strainer will not catch. I decided to give the OXO a go as a quick and cheap remedy. If it didn't work then nothing was lost! I replaced the standard drainer with OXO and what a difference! The OXO catches the fine hair very easily and the advantage is that you can see the hair accumulating on its top face. The OXO is very easy to clean as one can push the hair off the filter with one's fingers and then rinse the soap scum off. A first class, simple product that works really well.
