I was fortunate in that they abandoned the car only a few blocks away for whatever reason and the business they parked it in front of looked inside and found my phone number and address on something in the car so I got it back. But to stop this from happening again I got an emissions blocking box and this steering wheel lock that would prevent them from driving it away even if they still had the code for my car. It's much easier to use than the bar style and once you get used to the way the buckle works it's actually pretty easy. My only slight complaint is that of the three keys provided one of them is a little difficult to turn the lock and release it but the other two are fine. So make of that what you will.
