I am unashamed to say that I played with this excavator first in the guise of teaching my nephew how to control it. My nephew, who is 6, quickly learned how to operate all the little features. I set out a bowl of sugar and an empty bowl and he kept himself busy moving the sugar from place to place for a while. When he moved onto his next toy I went and had fun moving the sugar from bowl to bowl.- I love that it has little lights that can be turned off and on.- Having a controllable sound button to make it have real life sounds or be noise friendly is awesome.- I like that all the movements have seperate buttons. The excavator top moves seperate from the base.
