There’s a whole load of essentially actual quantities on data here, such as literal number of different growers in this region. At root the drinker of the coffee should probably roast it themselves then immediately grind with a coffee grinder that has clean burrs (hand grinders can be cleaned every time essentially by putting burrs in dishwasher, buy multiple hand grinders and dedicated dishwashers even). At that stage you even have a leg up on those who drink it origin as then you have clean burrs every time, unless those who pick it origin have this too. The whole story around coffee in the south and central (not one region remember as it’s easy to think) Americas is really interesting as to me there’s not much actual information when it first arrived there, or it could be native to there as well, unclear on both. The Brazilian was lovely but this is even better. Both arrived approx 4 weeks after roasting. Would have been nice to have a closer date but they still taste lovely through my espresso machine once dialed in. I would definitely buy again. 1kg seems a lot but if you separate into smaller bags and keep them in the freezer it works out very cost effective and keeps them as fresh as possible. As Dave Corbey suggests in his morning coffee routine video "check your beans" and so glad I did. I found a stone similar in size to a bean that could have made a real mess of my grinders burrs. As I single dose rather than dump them into a hopper I was able to spot it. I guess things can sometimes slip through the net due to the nature of the product and volumes.
