If not - doesn't that allow for the cold virus to potentially spread to the parent if it hasn't already?** A: Yes, it comes with 4 in the pack (little blue sponges) and you can buy extra. I've been using it for probably a month or two now and personally haven't changed a filter yet, you can easily wash them . **Q: What age is this suitable for? Is it too big for a newborn nose?** A: I used it on my two week old baby and it worked brilliantly. First I put some saline drops in her nostrils and after a couple of minutes used the aspirator and it completely unblocked her little nose. She wasn't very happy during the process but could breathe easily straight after! Well worth it. **Q: Can the filters be washed too or do you have to always change them?** A: I normally wash them and leave it to dry and reuse it... never had a problem **Q: Does this require nasal drops first?** A: Depending on how blocked the nose is, if it’s very dry put some nose drops and leave for a few minutes and then use Nosefrida.
