Castrol edge is one of the best oils out there and 5W30 fully synthetic Edge will be better than what most use BUT there have been a lot of changes recently in oil specification with grades such as A5/B5 etc which are a very different oil to this. Put in an oil that is the correct grade and don't listen to people who think they know more than they actually do.
