## Description

Iconic Italian-made stovetop coffee maker with 8-sided design, ergonomic handle, and patented safety valve. Brews 3 cups of rich, personalized espresso coffee.

Review: Easy to use and makes proper espresso-style coffee - I bought this because I wanted a proper stovetop coffee maker rather than just relying on instant coffee, and I can honestly say the coffee from this tastes so much nicer. It feels a bit more like a ritual as well, which I really like. The main thing I think people need to know is that the “3 cup” size does not mean 3 normal mugs. It makes about 2 small espresso-style coffees in my opinion, or enough for one stronger coffee depending on how you drink it. If you prefer an Americano, you can just add hot water afterwards, which is what I would do. It’s very easy to use once you’ve done it once. You fill the bottom part with water up to the little valve, then put your ground coffee into the filter basket. I wouldn’t press the coffee down too much, just fill it level. Then you screw the top and bottom together properly and put it on the hob over a low to medium heat. After a few minutes the coffee starts coming up into the top section. Once it’s finished bubbling and the top part has filled, it’s ready. It sounds more complicated written down than it actually is. The coffee comes out strong, rich and much nicer than instant. It definitely has more of that proper espresso-style taste. I also like that if you want it milder, you can just add hot water or milk rather than changing the way you make it. It looks really nice as well and feels like a proper classic coffee maker. It’s one of those things that looks good in the kitchen and also genuinely does the job well. One thing to be aware of is the size. If you’re expecting to fill a big mug straight from it, you may find it smaller than expected, so I do think it helps to understand before buying that this is more for espresso-style coffee or smaller servings. For me that’s absolutely fine, but it’s worth knowing. Cleaning it is straightforward too. I just let it cool, take it apart, empty the coffee grounds and rinse it out. It’s simple once you get into the routine of using it. Overall I’m really pleased with it. The coffee tastes great, it’s easy to use once you know the steps, and it feels like a much nicer way to make coffee at home.
Review: Solid and reliable little Moka Pot - A Moka Pot is one of the oldest forms of making coffee and, even all these years later, this little Italian coffee gadget still continues to make excellent coffee. Having never used one until really getting into coffee, I decided to order one and give it a try. You’ll often see this come up on social media marketplaces, and it’s often because people don’t know how to use them and end up with bitter, awful coffee. If you do your research online and have a quick read/watch of a couple of videos, you can soon get the hang of it. When grinding your coffee beans, you want to grind fairly coarse, but not as coarse as a French Press. You want the pieces to be fairly small but not espresso consistency, otherwise the coffee will be too bitter. The grind consistency you need can easily be achieved with a blade grinder. You can of course use pre-ground coffee, but you can’t beat the taste of freshly ground beans. This particular Moka Pot is pretty small and would be ideal for one or two people. The coffee it makes is a lovely alternative to espresso from an espresso machine and makes a great base for a milk based drink, and can provide you with delicious coffee that you’d find in your local cafe. Just make sure to use a towel or something to pick up the bottom of the Moka Pot when you’ve filled it with hot water, as it gets very hot very quickly. Once you’ve brewed your coffee over a medium heat, go and run the base of it under a cold tap to stop it from brewing. After you’ve poured your coffee, just rinse out the top of the Moka Pot to remove any leftover coffee residue and towel dry to prevent rusting. This is a handy little coffee gadget and would be great to take on travels, providing you have a gas hob at your destination. If you want to use it on an induction hob, you’ll have to buy one that works on that heat source. This makes a great gift for someone wanting to venture into the world of home brewing and, when used correctly, makes a tasty cup of coffee.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Made in Italy?**
A: From what I read elsewhere, since 2010 the Bialetti products have been manufactured in China and Romania. They are then assembled in Italy which allows them to be stamped “made in Italy”.

**Q: What size coffee tamper is recommended? Is 51mm ok or too small?**
A: Tbh, I’ve just been using the spoon that I put the coffee in with to tamp it down. However, if you really feel the need to get one, a 54/55 mm will suffice.

**Q: I know it's 3 cups size but can I make say 2 or 1 cup on it??? By putting less coffee!!**
A: No you can't. The result would be horrible. 3 cups however means 3 shots of espresso. Therefore u can use 1/3 of the coffee now and leave the rest aside. After a couple of hours just top up the coffe you left aside with hot water and you will have a piping hot Americano.

**Q: could i make a latte with the coffee if i put some milk in a saucepan, warmed it and added the coffee to it, also what strength ground coffee is best**
A: Good afternoon, Thank you for your query. You can use the coffee for the basis of different drinks. The best way to make a latte would be to make the coffee in the espresso maker, pour it into a mug or cup then add the warmed milk to it. The coffee you use will depend on how strong you like your coffee. Kind regards,

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bialetti moka a coffee maker,
*by C***N on 13 April 2026*

This is a beautifully simple coffee percolator beloved by the Italians, and by me!. However it’s very important to read the instructions before using for the first time. My order this time was for a 3-cup size 130ml. I have found both the 2cup and 1cup sizes just too small. Delivery of my latest one came next day but a bit later than scheduled in early evening rather than the afternoon. These are easy to clean after use and reasonably priced. I use mine over gas, with brew time about 4-5 minutes using ground coffee with no leakage at all.
