I was surprised to find that i can straightaway use the third weight in from the bottom (was quite shocked by this as i thought my pelvic floor is completely shot!) so i just have to work my way up another 3 from this one and then maintain :) You can tell that the weights are working your pelvic floor properly the whole time you are using it.
