Authentic Kefir from Live Kefir Company is made in the traditional way, using Live Milk Kefir grains. Does Kefir need to be refrigerated? Yes, upon delivery your Kefir needs to be put in the fridge ASAP and kept in there throughout its use. Each bottle of Kefir has a 60 day use by date from the date of production. We make fresh batches weekly so you can expect a long date on your bottles when you receive them. Live Kefir Company vs Supermarket Kefir? The difference is we are using Live Kefir grains whereas supermarket brands are using a powdered culture much similar to a yogurt culture. Using Live Kefir grains is a much more difficult and complex process however it produces traditional Kefir which is far more medically potent and can help with ailments. Sustainability We use all locally sourced products to make our Kefir where possible. We also make sure all of our packaging is either recyclable, reuseable or degradable. At the moment our Kefir milk is packaged into PET bottles which are fully recyclable, we will be moving to recycled PET in 2022. Unfortunately due to the fermented nature of the product we are unable to use glass bottles. We are also currently unable to use plant based plastic bottles as these are for use in short shelf life products. Our Kefir milk has a 60 day shelf life so the bottles would start to break down and leach into the product.

Review: Fabulous for your gut, upto 300 live bacteria per 500ml bottle - This Coconut Kefir drink is fabulous, with having M.E /CFS I have a badly damaged leaky gut, I've been told by my Nutritionist that I need to take gut bacteria to help heal my gut & there is upto 300 billion of live bacteria per 500ml bottle, I can't consume tablets or even vitamin drops as everything irritates my stomach /intestine, this is absolutely fabulous! To me it tastes of natural yogurt with coconut, as it is very smooth to drink, no coconut bits, nothing like that! I have no problem whatsoever in drinking this Kefir I have been struggling to find something that suits me for 3 years now & this is just the best ever, and I will be taking this Coconut Kefir drink for the rest of my life, I highly recommend this product.
