I reduced the size of the headband and they fitted him well. Thease can only block the noize, the sound. It does nothing to the presure, which is what causes that pain on the ears. To avoid that, breastfeed or give the baby a pacifier, so the sucking and swalling movement makes the ear adapt to the pressure. For older kids, you can try candies or chewing gum. It's important to remember that a stuffy nose makes this pressure adaption process harder and may end in ear pain, so try some saline solition to keep the nose clean and humid. Which one is correct??** A: Optimally these should not be used on babies under 3 months because their skull bones are too soft. But they have been tested as effective from newborn. Bought them because of my husbands snoring. Plus we’ve got teenagers as well, and it’s been nightmare to keep them shush when the small one is having day naps. Overall: For all the reasons I bought these ear protectors, they do it’s job. My son is sleeping through the day absolutely not disturbed at all. Had small party at home, and as well even the loudness of our guests on the hall way didn’t disturb my baby sleeping in his room with the headphones on. Although I would not use them every night, and I still had to kick my husband out to the other room, so far I’m super happy I’ve got them. The fit itself seems to be good for my 5month old small head. Because they are headphone shaped my son can wear them only if he is lying flat on his back, anytime he moves to the side unfortunately the headphones are sliding of his ears. It doesn’t wake him up but the protection doesn’t cover his ears any more. I know there are versions with the headband and then the protection itself can be moved around. I think I’d rather this option more as when my son sleeps sideways I still could use the protection on at least one of his ears.
