Review: Faultless - I chose this item because, unlike most others, it has an ingenious spring-loaded feature that holds the bike upright. With fixed width wheel cradles, it's a lottery. If your tyre fits snugly between the guides then you win. If it's not snug, the bike flops all over the place. The spring-loaded arm on this product holds my bike perfectly straight, and I can't see any reason why it won't do the same for bikes with a wide-range of tyre-widths. To start with, the packaging looked smart. Clearly this doesn't influence how the product performs, but it suggests that things are going to be good. And they are! The well-finished product has a sturdy feel to it, but it's not crude or clunky. It came pre-assembled so all there is to do is to release the spring loaded arm and push the bike into the stand. I only needed one, but multiples can easily be fixed together as each one comes with pivot clips so the stands can be daisy-chained together. The pivot clips fold out of the way if not being used. All things considered, this product is perfect for my needs and, to cap it all, it comes with a 2-yr warranty.
Review: For a Brilliant Bike Rack - Just Look no Further - I have had the other types of rack for the bike and found them to be poor, often the bikes wont stand up because the stays that hold the wheel are too wide and the bike ends up being lop sided with the spokes against the stays. This bike rack is different. You simply push the front or back wheel onto the stand, the black cup at the top then meets and moves backwards with the wheel holding the bike firmly in place and perfectly up right. The cup is designed to accommodate both road bike wheels (small and thin) and big fat mountain bike wheels. You can clip several of these together using the clips provided and there is enough space between the racks to ensure that the bikes don't meet or knock together. The stand is light and strong and has a feel of real quality. I'm getting rid of my old aluminium x3 rack and have now bought three of these. These are brilliant bike racks and very highly recommended.

**Q: Will this stand accomodate a 29er Mountain Bike with Suspension Forks and Disk Brakes?**
A: Maybe not. Tire width might be a problem; it was for me. As others pointed out, this can only handle tires up to a certain width. My 27.5 by 2.25 MAXXIS does not fit well, and my 29.0 by 2.25 MAXXIS also does not fit. My 2.0 tires fit great. My gravel bike (42 width tire) works great too. My family has nine MTB in my our garage so I had a good chance to see what MTB tire works and what does not. The manufacturer advises this item for up to 2.3 tires but my brand new MAXXIS 2.25 will not work. This might be related to the side knob design. Who knows. I’m going to try the larger version and see if that works better for my standard MTB tires.

A: What is the purpose for putting the bike at that location? Storage or decoration? I would not advise using this rack in either option. It's does a great job holding a bike when used on the ground. It's my favorite rack for quick and easy storage. For you, if your looking for bike storage I would use a bike hoist system with pulleys and a rope, may can be found on Amazon, I use one as well. If it's for decoration, look for a bicycle display stand and fasten one to both the front and back tire and to the top of the bookcase using earthquake straps and fasteners.

**Q: can it be used outdoors on a composite deck?**
A: Shouldn't be a problem so long as your deck is reasonably leveled because the rakk is pretty stable.  The rubber end-caps on the legs will keep the deck from being scratched if you slide it around a bit while the bike is in the stand.

**Q: Can I put my back wheel in this stand then lift the front tire up to lean against a wall so that my bike takes up less space in my apartment?**
A: I wouldn't personally do that for fear of bike falling to the side with that much weight above the little stand

I have had the other types of rack for the bike and found them to be poor, often the bikes wont stand up because the stays that hold the wheel are too wide and the bike ends up being lop sided with the spokes against the stays. This bike rack is different. You simply push the front or back wheel onto the stand, the black cup at the top then meets and moves backwards with the wheel holding the bike firmly in place and perfectly up right. The cup is designed to accommodate both road bike wheels (small and thin) and big fat mountain bike wheels. You can clip several of these together using the clips provided and there is enough space between the racks to ensure that the bikes don't meet or knock together. The stand is light and strong and has a feel of real quality. I'm getting rid of my old aluminium x3 rack and have now bought three of these. These are brilliant bike racks and very highly recommended.
