They were delivered in sturdy cardboard box which can be used to store them when not in use. But, for me, these will always be out on the floor. Otherwise, out of site, out of mind! I've had concrete-filled, plastic ones before but this time wanted cast iron ones which hopefully won't go rusty over time. The bars are chrome plated whilst the weights are finished in a hammered effect, dark-grey paint. Looks professionally finished and of high quality. Other reviewers commented that the screw-locks loosen during use, but I haven't had that problem. Really like the extension tube which converts the two dumbbells into one barbell. Not sure if I would trust loading the full 20kg with the extension bar, though. As well as bent-over-rows, bench presses and fore-arm curls it's possible to place the bar-bell on the floor, slip your toes under it and knock out a few sit-ups. The different weights are ideal for a beginner. Even the hand-bars alone, without any discs, are a good way to start, adding weights as you progress.
