One is higher-waisted & comes up just under the navel, ex "6-pack Warm/Cool Assorted". The other is low-waisted & rides halfway between the navel & the crotch, ex "6-pack Fashion Assorted". If you look at the rear view, the higher waisted has full butt coverage. The low-waisted shows a lot of butt cheek.
