The case is sturdy and the reciever and transmitter are held securely in custom cutouts in the foam. The foam is deep and protective. When you recieve the case you need to remove the foam shapes that are in the holes - as it initially looks like there are no cutouts! This is due to the foam being cut but the middle bit of the cut out not being removed. The matt black of the foam hides the cuts. The zip is fine and the outside of the case seems robust. Overall the case feels a little bulky for the items it contains, but this is an easy trade off for the protection afforded.
