I used them for my mini 3 foot real Christmas tree outside. They are waterproof and fit my little three foot tree perfectly. The only downside was that the battery life was not that great. Could have to do with the batteries I purchased but, I wish that the lights stayed as bright as they did the first time I turned them on. It seemed each day they got duller and duller. I will still be using them again though.
