I have had zojirushi rice cookers for almost 20 years and they are perfection. But they take long. The cuckoo has a somewhat complicated cooking menu, but to start out I made Thai Jasmine rice (non pressure, white rice setting) and then Japanese white koshishikari short grain rice (High pressure, super turbo, white rice). The Thai rice came out perfect. The kohishikari was the best I have ever made and that is saying something. It was glistening, perfect consistency, and tasted great. and it was done in 14 minutes! I am so happy with this Cuckoo.
