Day 5, I drained and filled the barrels with clear and flavored (no fruit) spirits made deep in the backyard. But you do not want for barrels you are trying to age. It does not allow the barrel to breath properly and can leach varnish into your liqour. **Q: Is there any varnish on the barrel? Do you have any suggestions?** A: A major problem with the recommended sealing process is that it removes much of the sugars and other flavor from the barrel.
