One of a Kind (in many ways)
Quite expensive for 325 pages but, then again, you pay for exclusivity. However, along w that exclusiveness should come a measure of value and unfortunately, this text falls short in one main area. Granted this is an intro text yet why is it that this text has absolutely no discussion about the higher end of the ecosystems of the oceans, that is, the marine mammals. Precious little, if any, ink is used on this topic. It seems to me that this is such an important area of marine ecotoxicology that to leave this out, even in - or especially in (as I rethink it), an intro text is, frankly, outrageous and sad. Yes, I realize one cannot include every topic in the marine ecotox biosphere, even if just a brief synopsis, yet not mentioning this particular area within the discipline is truly unfortunate and takes away from the text as a whole.
