I plan to use these for backpacking to hold soft objects like clothing, tarps, and tents so I wanted dry sacks that didn't add much weight and were affordable. These at the time were by far the best price compared to other brands with similar materials and I was able to buy several of different sizes for the price of a single small cuben fibre dry sack (yes cuben is lighter, but is also a risk for puncture and the cost to weight saving just did not make any sense to me). I like the rectangular shape as well but I roll my clothes when packing so not sure it will make that much of a difference. For larger rolled objects it might actually be less efficient or harder to get them in, however in my use so far once the air is compressed out the dry sack fabric is light enough it conforms well to whatever is in it so probably not an issue. I like the material used at the top of the sack to add rigidity to the roll, it does not absorb any water and there was no wicking into the bag that I observed. To test the waterproofness I placed some dark colored shirts in the dry sack (so it would be easy to see if they got wet) and placed it in a bucket of water outside in steady rain for 2.5 hours. I placed a heavy glass vase on it to shove the bottom where most of the seams are further into the water and to simulate something being crammed against it like in a kayak or wet backpack. I'm happy to report nothing got wet, no water inside the sack at all. Can't report on their durability long term yet but will once I've had them in use for awhile. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Backpacker's choice *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2017* Great bag. I pack a change of clothes in mine when I go backpacking. This bag is easy to compress the air out of before you roll it up, and then after its sealed it will hold the vacuum seal which helps to save space. I just got back from a 60 mile backpacking trip. I used a lot of dry bags because we were doing a lot of river and stream crossings without bridges and I didn't want to risk wet clothes/sleeping bag/tent in the mountains... my other bags were bulkier and so much heavier and I really regretted that extra weight a few miles in. If I could return the others for this brand, I would in a heart beat.
