Review: Excellent foam cutter for hobbyist or diy - Works great. I used this to cut some thick insulation foam for my garage door. This is the third time I’ve done this project and I REALLY wish I’d bought this kit before the first time. It was so easy to use and made the cuts like a hot knife through butter. I was able to use the mount and some scrap wood to create a surface that let me make repeatable, flat smoot cuts over and over. Really looking forward to using this for my next project.
Review: Slow and Steady Wins the Race! - Was it fast? No. Did it work well? YES! This thing is fantastic at cutting foam. I used it primarily on the harder 2" pink rigid foam. Most of the time I had 2 pieces adhered to each other (spray adhesive foam works best) and it cut like butter. It's juuuuust 4" long, so it was hard to get to the end of the 2nd layer of foam but it just made it. I had to go slow, but it worked like a charm. I read some people were breaking the head off which is ridiculous. You would have to push amazingly hard in order for that to happen. It will start to bend if you are pushing too hard, so realize that and back off a tad. Just take your time and let the knife do the work! I used it to make big size Monopoly pieces for Halloween at work, and they turned out great. Cutting stuff in 3D is quite the adventure! :)

**Q: When you first plug it in and the light is red, how long until you should be able to use it?**
A: It doesn't take that long maybe about 5 minutes.

**Q: Can you bend the straight blade to make custom cuts?**
A: I doubt it. It is under tension between the two holders. There's no slack to adjust it.

**Q: Do they have a straight blade that wil cut EVA foam I'm cutting tool box foam for my tools to sit in and it looks like the straight only cuts EPS foam**
A: It’s only wire and a long and short strait bar.

**Q: What is the lowest heat this will go? I need it to cut wax that needs to stay below 180 F. Thanks!**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall good kit, but wires break easily

The cutter worked well and was easy to use. The only downside is that there are only 7 wires, and each only lasted a few minutes before either breaking, or slipping out of the ends where they were crimped. However the description does say “styrofoam cutter” and I was using it for EVA foam which is denser and harder to cut through which could’ve been part of the problem. Overall, seems well designed and worked as intended though.
