I haven't needed to clean it yet, so I can't speak to its longevity, but it really works for getting the stick back onto our shoes. So much so we're also buying a personal size one as well for just my son. ***UPDATE 1/13/2018*** This thing is still going really well, and is really easy to clean and get the stick back - just run it under warm water and scrub it with a scotch brite dobie pad. Dirt comes off really easy with minimal scrubbing, and it also dries quickly to get back to its stickiness. We're really happy we bought this and keep this one at home.
