Sediments or carbon?.Which comes first** A: While not an expert, or "really knowledgeable", I installed first, the Sediments filter and then the Carbon. The idea. First filter sediments, then Carbon. It just seemed logical. On second thought, read insymtructions. **Q: Are these filters usable with a well system?** A: We are on a well and use this filter. I have two Big Blue filters inline - the first being the sediment filter (this item) and the second is a carbon filter. This works well with little loss in pressure. I change the sediment filter every three months and the carbon filter every 6 months.
