After a few weeks of use, the measuring marks on the little cup have almost totally worn off. i remarked with a sharpie, but even those are wearing off. I have just remarked with my sharpie, but this time I have added clear packaging tape to see if that helps protect the marks. I have also checked the measurements by pouring into my measuring spoons so I will know what to use if I totally lose the marks on the little cup. Hard boiled = 5T + 1t. Poached = 4T. Soft boiled = 2T + 2t. Don't use it to cook scrambled eggs so I didn't measure that. Still love the thing! Note: because I am using more eggs, they are fresher when hard boiled than the first batch I fixed, and the fresher eggs are much easier to peel. --------- Original review Easy to use. Easy to clean. Update-Almost subtracted one star. After a few weeks of use, the measuring marks on the little cup have almost totally worn off. i remarked with a sharpie, but even those are wearing off. I have just remarked with my sharpie, but this time I have added clear packaging tape to see if that helps protect the marks. I have also checked the measurements by pouring into my measuring spoons so I will know what to use if I totally lose the marks on the little cup. Hard boiled = 5T + 1t. Poached = 4T. Soft boiled = 2T + 2t. Don't use it to cook scrambled eggs so I didn't measure that. Still love the thing! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best for Steaming Eggs in the Shell

I love this egg cooker for “hardboiled,” (steamed, I guess) eggs. If I use the recommended amount of water, turn the cooker off as soon as it beeps, and cool the eggs of in cold water immediately, they are perfect every time, and they’re super easy to peel. I didn’t have much luck with the mini-omelet or just cooking the eggs out of the shell. For the price and the convenience of steaming the eggs in the shell, I am very happy with this. If you spray any oil for an omelet-type thing (reviewer-recommended), cleanup is a bit messy, but for cooking them in the shells, it is super quick and easy.
