Review: A fine tool; heirloom quality. - I am very pleased with this little axe. It's a great example of old world craftmanship. The head appears very well made, and it has the finest factory sharpening and edge polishing I have seen on an axe or hatchet- it literally shaves arm hair. The handle is very robust, finished with linseed oil; ready to use. Factory handles on many axes/hatchets are finished with a membrane finish such as varnish and/or paint, which can cause blisters on the hands of the user. This isn't the case with this one. It also came with a nice and hefty oiled leather cover for the head.
