Great Customer Service. Acceptable quality, but not the best. *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2017* Not made for Big & Tall.Update: June 1, 2019. So I'm sitting down to update my review. When the original black robe arrived, as mentioned, it was too short in the arms. Their Customer Service was spectacular! So let me share what they did. First, I returned the robe at no cost. In addition, I told them that I have a Murphy Robes preaching robe (recently purchased) that you can use as a template to make the academic robe I was ordering. So at no cost to me, I shipped both the robe back and shipped my preaching robe ALL THE WAY TO CHINA. In approximately 3 weeks they emailed me back and said the robe was finished. As you can see, I chose a Red w/Black Velvet Bars/Panel, as my degree was a Religion/Theology discipline. Once completed, they dry-cleaned my preaching robe, and sent everything back to me FREE!Now, the 4-star review. The robe material is OK. They didn't use the same material as other robe companies so from close up, you can still see wrinkle lines even after steamed at the dry cleaners. As you can see in comparison to my friend's robe (facing front), the velvet bars were placed too far back, so you can't see them in ANY of the images where we are taking a frontal photo. The doctoral hood is OK, but as you can see, they designed it with a black border around the red velvet, so the velvet doesn't fall around your shoulder as my friend's identical hood does. As I said, the design is a bit different than I was expecting. Last, the Tam was not correct. The tassel was sewn in the wrong place and I had to spend $10 to have a seamstress correct it so it fell on my left side of my face, relative to the velcro in the back.All in all, I appreciate their customer service. The regalia is OK, but no one felt I didn't look professional, etc. I'm not going to use this gown again, as it will cost too much to have the bars adjusted, so I'll have to purchase another gown and simply keep my Tam/Hood for future use. I give it 4-stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice trim, but huge arms *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2017* Arrived on time and the piping and velvet trim on the gown is nice (a step up from the plain rental robes). It needed to be aired out a bit before wearing. I am a 5ft 8in woman and bought the size 51 as suggested. The length was great, but the arms are very wide, poofy, and too long. Of course, with any clothing shipped in a bag it was wrinkled, but with some time spent doing that, it looks far nicer than its price would indicate. My only two complaints are, the inner sleeves are a little short for me, but you can’t tell with the fullness of the bell sleeves, and there was a little dirt on it upon arrival. It looked like some dirty water had been splashed on it and it dried. Other than that, it was a great fit, fairly lightweight, and the velvet and gold piping looks very distinguished.
