A: You can comfortably place your hand around the 4 inch handle.

**Q: How wide is the blade at its widest point?**
A: The blade of this serrated edge knife is 1-3/8 inches wide at its widest point. This is just below the handle of the knife. I love this knife!  I use it all the time and it is a great tool!

**Q: Does the bread knife come with a cover/ sheath to protect blade?**
A: It comes with a clear plastic sheath to cover blade, the box it comes in is also reusable

**Q: Can you sharpen this serrated knife when it gets dull? Some knives that are serrated cannot. Please have the manufacturer respond.**
A: It depends on the sharpener. Most sharpeners, no. There is however a manual sharpener by Chefologist that will sharpen a serrated knife. It's a small round sharpener that suction's to table for stability.
