We use this for getting ready in the morning when he stays overnight. I have an education background and feel this series is pretty good from that standpoint. The rhythm varies from quick 10 second bits to longer songs. Many of the songs are familiar, so you can start singing along right away. There are always simple movements/dances that go along witht the songs that encourage gross motor movement. Review: Fun, cute, and great for kids! - My 14 month old daughter loves the songs and characters! She dances along and has learned to do the same hand movements such as Itsy Bitsy Spider and Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes. It's so cute to see her following along! I especially like that the entire video contains the actual lovable characters and not plain kids and plain adults singing the songs with bad tunes and bad video like the other episodes. I can't stand those. (Even the cartoon versions aren't as bad as those!) The characters in this video are not scary or creepy! Definitely one of my favorite kids video! She watches it on Youtube all the time, but gets super frustrated when the commercial breaks come on. WE also use a lot of data on our cell phones this way when we are out and about and rely on a good connection. So thrilled to see this on DVD. Now, she can watch it in the car and on the air plane when we travel without interruption. It is the one of the best song collection that's out there. Super cute, not obnoxious like other children music.
