Review: Get this book first, above all others! - Excellent book. This is fascinating research. This has to be the top keto book out there. I believe I’ve read most of them, and this is my favorite because it is so well written and well researched. I used to be a vegan for YEARS, but never felt that great (constantly bloated) and was always hungry, craving chocolate, and even carried an extra ten pounds. For some odd reason I completely dove into the Keto Diet, using Mark’s approach, and decided to try it out. I quit veganism cold turkey and have never looked back. I am 100 percent happy, satisfied, love the recipes, the delicious food. My anxiety and stress is completely gone, I never worry about my weight anymore, I sleep like a baby, I have lost the last stubborn 10 pounds, my energy is through the roof, and I have nothing to say except for this is finally what I have been looking for. I have no sugar cravings, I can even skip meals now and then, and not even think about food. I do love and enjoy my meals 100 percent when I eat! As a vegan, it was really hard to go out to dinner and enjoy food with friends. Not anymore. I’m actually eating bacon, ground beef, steak, chicken, fish, eggs, delicious vegetables, and lots and lots of fat. I look at my thin and toned body – I am 5’ 7” and weigh 122 pounds, and cannot believe that I can eat as much FAT as I do. 80 percent! Good healthy fats!! And I am never ever hungry. Wow it’s just amazing that this works. My hair is even growing in thicker and my skin is gorgeous. I think my brain is even sharper. I am 58 years old and feel younger and better and healthier than ever before. Goodbye veganism. Hello meat & fats!

I was already a success story, having dropped 85 pounds in four months (and keeping it off for 8 years now) by following Mark's Primal Blueprint. But the Keto Reset has helped me crack through my recent fitness plateau and get back on the road to effortless fat loss. I've dropped another two inches off my waist in 5 weeks. My energy level is up, and I my workouts are way more productive since going keto. In writing this book, Mark does tend to hammer on some of the same points again and again, but fans of his blog will recognize this as his style. Editing down some of these repeat references probably would have shortened the book a bit, but his style and sense of humor make it easy to overlook such little redundancies. All in all, a very well-researched, well-presented take on a diet and exercise lifestyle that doesn't get nearly enough attention from the mainstream media.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good information, hard to follow if not eating exactly what is in the meal plan.

I love all of the information presented in this book, and I love the idea of the reset before going full keto. What I do not love is that the reset isn’t actually laid out very clearly unless you plan to eat exactly what is in the meal plan. It doesn’t have a Do/Don’t list or a “if you create your own meals then aim for X grams of carbs/protein/fat per day” I’d really love to have a cheat sheet overview to just have to refer too, but it just doesn’t exist. The reset is explained over chapters with no end review before the launch. I don’t like meal plans, because I like to cook my own, but I can create my own if I have the framework and that’s not listed. The research is great and the recipes have all been pretty good so far, so I would still recommend the book. It’s just harder to follow than other programs.
