I'm currently in the process of stretching my ears but they're being stubborn and I'm stuck at a 6g. I didn't want to continue to only wear plugs because the bands that hold them in place limit airflow which will only slow healing further and makes cleaning more difficult. I like the spring loaded ball which makes these much easier to put in and remove than a standard captive ball ring. The edges are fairly smooth so they go in easily. They have some weight to them and appear well made and to my surprise came in these little decent quality pouches for easy storage. Obviously I'm wearing them in my ears and not for say a prince albert. I probably would not recommend them for that because as others have said the opening is quite small. Only as wide as the ball. So they're perfect for ears or a septum but if you're intending to use it for a thicker area you might struggle to get them in. I would definitely buy them again in the next size up when I get there. Hope this review is helpful to others that are considering buying them.
