Review: Amazing Synth Keyboard - If you like exploring different sounds, this is an amazing keyboard. It has both AWE2 wavetable synthesis and FM synthesis based on the Yamaha DX7 synth from the 1980, but upgraded to new features. The only thing disappointing about the synth is the keyboard. It would have been nice to have had a weighted, piano-style keybed. For those accustomed to playing organs and synths, however, the keybed is fine. The MODX7 is essentially a stripped-down version of the flagship Montage synthesizer. However, the MODX is a far better value for many musicians, especially amateurs like me. For those who are beginners, the MODX is far too complex. There are less expensive digital pianos that would be ideal for beginning and intermediate pianists. Review: Yahama is the best hands down. - Well I own a Montage 61 key and decided to get this to be my second keyboard. The sound is great. The weight is the main reason I got this. Yamaha keyboards are easy to use. It’s build quality of mostly plastic but that’s what make it so portable. ## Features - GHS weighted action is heavier in the low keys and lighter in the high keys, just like an acoustic piano. - AWM2 is a proprietary sampled-based subtractive synthesis technology - FM-X features 8-operator FM synthesis capable of producing incredible dynamic sound - Motion Control is a highly customizable synthesizer engine control matrix - MODX OS adds new Voices, LIVE SETS and Features ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07WZJW7FT | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #63,960 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #144 in Synthesizer & Workstation Keyboards | | Brand | Yamaha | | Brand Name | Yamaha | | Color | Black | | Connectivity Technology | USB | | Connector Type | USB Type B | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 121 Reviews | | Finish Type | Lacquered | | Headphones Jack | Either 6.35mm Jack or 3.5mm Jack | | Included Components | Power Supply | | Instrument | Synthesizer | | Item Dimensions | 36.9 x 13 x 5.3 inches | | Item Type Name | 61-Key Music Synthesizer Keyboard, Dynamic Sound Including Acoustic Instruments, Synth Sounds and Drums, Synth Action Keys, Motion Control, Portable, Black | | Item Weight | 6.6 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Yamaha | | Manufacturer Part Number | MODX6+ | | Model Name | MODX6+ | | Model Number | MODX6+ | | Number of Keys | 61 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Set Name | Yamaha MODX6+ 61-Key Synthesizer | | Size | 61-Key | | Skill Level | All | | Special Feature | Portable | | Special Features | Portable | | Style | 61-Key | | UPC | 889025141895 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 year manufacturer warranty yamaha corporation of america (yamaha) is proud of the experience and craftsmanship that goes into every product we represent.
