I waited four months to write this review, and so far I cannot lodge any complaints with this unit. The battery has performed perfectly. If anything, the feeder now throws much more strongly than it ever did with the lead-acid battery -- we have nicknamed it the "corn cannon" with its new power source. The battery has been zero-maintenance since it was installed, and I haven't touched it in four months. All status indicators are fine. NOTE: My only concern will be winter time, as it is very bad for lithium-based batteries to charge at below-freezing temperatures.
