## Description

INADINE INADINE PVP-I Non-adherent dressing consists of a low-adherence knitted viscose fabric impregnated with a polyethylene glycol PEG base containing 10% povidone iodine; equivalent to 1.0% available iodine.Iodine is a highly effective topical antimicrobial that has been used clinically in the treatment of wounds for over 170 years. It has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity with effectiveness against bacteria, microbacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses. How does it work The Povidone iodine molecule has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action and has been shown to be effective against MRSA3-5.INADINE minimizes adhesion to the wound bed, thereby reducing the risk of damage to granulation tissue upon removal of the dressing, and In clinical practice it has been shown to reduce pain for patients. As PVP-I is released from INADINE, the bandage will turn orange-white. The color change provides an indicator of how frequently dressings should be changed to avoid unnecessary dressing changes. This could improve cost-effectiveness in treatment.
