I searched awhile for a stainless steel kettle that wasn't painted and was BPA free. I opted for the gauge over the digital one because it less likely to fail. It holds 1.7 liters and heats up in 5 minutes. I love the removable lid because it make it easier to pour. Pop the lid handle button and hold the top as you pour. The outside gets hot but there's the gauge, noise from boiling, and the power indictator to alert you that it's hot. It stays warm for about 20 minutes. The cord tucks away underneath. It shuts off automatically when lifted. Thus far, it has been easy to clean with a rinse and wipe.
