Product Description Die cast chrome plated zinc body. Tapped 3/4" IPS with internal 3/4" x 1/2" face bushing. Brass top shower adapter. From the Manufacturer Mixet 5-1/8" slip-on diverter tub spout. Fits 1/2" Quikspout (5/8 OD) slip-on. Tub spout length is 5-1/8". Update your bathtub with a PVD satin nickel Quikspout slip-on diverter tub spout for a stylish and updated appearance. Most tub diverter spouts have a simple lift gate that diverts the flow of water to the shower head. Higher water pressures can cause some water to continue to flow directly through the tub spout, instead of the shower head. The result is wasted water and wasted energy to heat that water. With the Mixet Positive Action Shut-Off Diverter spout, the water pressure acts like a positive force moving the spring in the Mixet Spout to activate the water sealing washer and O-ring. Review: It stinking works! - I've always hated pop up shower valves, and should never have installed on on a shower retro. I've spent time polishing water spots off of plates in spigots to try to make them seal, all to no avail. This valve installed in something under a minute. NO LEAKS in operation. I could not be more pleased. My hope is that hard deposits will not build up and it will continue to seal. Since it's in the guest bath, it rarely gets used, so I'll update this in time. It is not USA made, but dang, we sent all our manufacturing to China. AMERICAN Standard is made in Mexico! Get over it - it's an incredible value.

I've always hated pop up shower valves, and should never have installed on on a shower retro. I've spent time polishing water spots off of plates in spigots to try to make them seal, all to no avail. This valve installed in something under a minute. NO LEAKS in operation. I could not be more pleased. My hope is that hard deposits will not build up and it will continue to seal. Since it's in the guest bath, it rarely gets used, so I'll update this in time. It is not USA made, but dang, we sent all our manufacturing to China. AMERICAN Standard is made in Mexico! Get over it - it's an incredible value.

This diverter really works! Easy to install and good nickel color match to our existing mixing valve. The 4 stars is due to the visible mounting screw (if you have right-hand controls), why not put that on the bottom? I'll check back in 6 months to verify that it's still working. It does go back to the tub if there's a decrease in pressure, i.e. if you have issues when someone flushes a toilet. We don't have that problem, just saying that you might...
